IBM Business Process Manager on Cloud Components

Introduction:

In IBM® Business Process Manager on Cloud, users are assigned permissions that provide access to specific deployment environments. IBM® Business Process Manager on Cloud components provide the scoped function that you need to develop, deploy, test, and use applications.

BPM Cloud Components

IBM Business Process Manager on Cloud has provided the following components for deleop, deploy, test and use the applications.

Process Center

If you are assigned permission to access the Development Environment, use IBM Process Center for the following tasks:

v Installing and running process applications.

v Storing performance data to be tested and played back during development.

v Managing running instances of process applications on the Process Center servers.

v Retrieving tracked data from Process Server or Process Center server at intervals. Process Center serves as a central repository for project assets.

Environments

Ø  Development Environment

Performance Admin Console

Use the Performance Admin Console to work with Performance Data Warehouse queues, manage data transfer errors, and monitor overall performance. The Performance Data Warehouse retrieves and stores tracked performance data, which enables people who use IBM Process Designer to create reports and analyze processes by using the Optimizer.

Users who are assigned the Operator role can see the Performance Admin Console component in the following environments that they are also assigned access to:

Ø  Test environment

Ø  Process runtime operating environment

Process Admin Console

Use the Process Admin Console to administer the IBM Business Process Manager applications that are specific to the deployment environment.

Process Portal

Use Process Portal to manage tasks and collaborate with other users to complete tasks. You can also view the performance of individuals, teams, and processes on dashboards.

Responsive Federated Portal (technology preview)

Use IBM BPM Responsive Federated Portal, a new sample coach-based portal, as a starting point to create and extend your portals. Responsive Federated Portal works on various devices, for example mobile devices, tablets, notebooks, and traditional work stations.

REST UI

Use the web-based REST API test tool to use the IBM BPM REST APIs and the associated parameters. The REST API test tool is installed on each IBM Process Center and IBM Process Server node. Use the REST API test tool to prototype client applications and test the APIs in those applications.
